Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio
Visitation Rights and Full Custody
I am having some problems with my ex. We have never been married. I let him see my daughter for awhile under certain circumstances. There was to be no alchol involved while he had the child. He quit paying child support at the time. I quit the visitation as soon as what my daughter had told me about the drinking and driving. I now signed a court order for child visitation, that included no alchol consumption on any party during visition. I now feel I should have never signed those papers, because I am afraid she will be in danger. Her father and grandfather are both alcholics. What is the best thing I can do.

If you have evidence that there is alcohol involved when your child's father visits with her, you may wish to consider asking the court to alter the visitation order. Family Court wants to protect the best interest of the child. Feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss this further.

Re: Visitation Rights and Full Custody
The key concept when it comes to children is to act in the best interests of the children. If you fear that the child is in danger it would be advisable to file a contempt motion with the court and then just have supervised visitation.
