Would it be wise to write a letter to the judge of my custody case to give a cha

I have a 7 yr old child who her father has custody of and she lives in San Antonio TX.Custody was given to him back in 96 in Circleville Ohio.I was only 19 at the time and he was 36.I was told that he was more financially stable then I was and he got custdoy.Of course he was more financially stable he was still living at home with his mother and I had an apartment of my own I just did not have a car but my parents helped me out.Well now she is 7 and I get her every other Christmas she was here for this Christmas and she did not want to go back she has given me numorus reasons no abuse or neglect just honest feelings from a 7 year old child that says she feels she wants and needs to be with her mother and her fathr works 2 jobs so she spends more time with her grandmother(who is in her early 70's) than him.Which was one of the concerns when we went to court in the begining that she would spend more time at the baby sitters than with me because I worked from 6am to 1pm.Should I try to write a letter to this judge and let him know what is going on?Will they take into consideration how my daughter feels?Please Help me:)

The Court will only pay attention to what you are saying if it is in the form of a motion. Therefore, your"letter" to the judge should be in the format of a motion to modify visitation or to change custody.
