Legal Question in Family Law in Ohio

Second wives inheritance

Before marrying I inherited some money. Once married my husband and I bought a franchise with the money-using none of his money. I am payed more than my husband for many reasons, mainly because it is my money. Now his former wife is sueing to collect more child support and because we both own the business they are considering my income saying that his wages are deflated. What should I do to protect myself since my husband's attorney does not seem to be involving me and has given the ex-wife's attorney my pay stubs.

Re: Second wives inheritance

First of all the inherited property is a nonmarital asset. Second of all I would incorporate and give your husband a salary, ever be it so small so that child support can be computed on a smaller income. Third, I would look seriously at a new attorney to protect your interests better.
