Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

Civil Case

I lost a judgement in a $1000 civil case and they attacked my bank account before I could pay and got 320 dollars out of it. Well it lay dormant for 5 years. I recently received a letter from the lawyer stating the case was going to be re opened. Can they do this? Can my bank get garnished again along with my check? If I pay on it will it change anything in the courts. Meaning since I'm paying they can't do anything? Thanks

Re: Civil Case

You need to work it out with the lawyer. That judgement can be renewed and be hanging around out there for 20 years and until it is satisfied it will keep coming back just like you describe.
