Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

Civil Procedure / Appeals question

I'm a young attorney, not very experienced in domestic relations. I have a case where I filed objections to a Magistrate's decision but failed to attach a transcript of the hearing b/c I didn't think I had to. The objections were timely filed but the motion was denied b/c of the lack of a transcript. I spoke w/ the court and they indicated that a Motion for Reconsideration would be considered and that I needed to order the transcript at the time of filing (prior to knowing whether the Judge would accept the motion). The transcript cost over $300. The motion for reconsid. was denied. What should I do at this point. Have I preserved the issue for appeal as the objections were timely filed but no decision was rendered? What are my options? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Of course, time is of the essence here too. Thanks.

Re: Civil Procedure / Appeals question

Did you include the transcript at some point?! Has it been thirty days, and is this a magistrate that is making these decisions?
