how to collect money from ex-roommate
I need to know how to go about beginning the process of collecting monies owed to me by a old roommate. I have all the bills from when we lived together, I just am not sure about the proper way to proceed.

You start in small claims court in the city where you both had lived.

Ig the amount owed from your room mate is less tan 3,000.00 go to small claims court. If it is less than $15,000.00 go to municipal court and if it is over 15,000.00 go to common pleas court. Once the judgment is obtained, you can attach a bank account or garnish wages.
