Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio
collection of Ohio Common Pleas judgement
Awarded judgement "in the amount of $5,400 with interest at the legal rate from Aug. 28, 1985." How much does he owe me? Is there a statue of limitations? How do I collect?

The judgement may still be enforceable, but you need to file a revivor of the judgment. A judgment is valid for five years a a time and then you need to "revive" the judgment. Back in 1985 the judgment interest rate was probably 8% per annum.
Good luck.
