Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

The Right to Due Process

Due to two deaths in my family ten days apart I took my daughter to what I thought would be grief counseling. She NEVER got to speak to any medical professional! My wife and I told medical professionals what the problem was we were asked to sign a form basically committing her. We said No tried to walk out of the hospital and was locked in for over two hours and my daughter was locked in for almost 20 hours. She was not acting crazy nor exhibiting any signs. We just wanted counseling! Is what they did legal? Can you advise of a good pro bono attorney? No hearing was never had. they tried to get me to sign a form the next day saying I voluntarily committed her for a night!!

Contact the local bar association in the area in which you live. The Bar Association may have the names of attorneys who will do pro bono work.
