Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

Found Cash

If someone finds cash, say in parking lot, with no way of identifying the proper owner, what are the legal obligations? How long of time should be given before it becomes finders keepers? What measures should be taken to find the owner?

Re: Found Cash

You might try going into the buildings that the parking lot serves and telling the people in charge that you found something of value. Don't give them any details. If someone then makes a claim, make them describe (i.e. how muuch, etc.) what they lost.
