High School tuition being charged for senior year, told prior that it would be w
We are being taken to court for my stepdaughters senior year of school (2003-04 yr.). We were previously told that having paid for the previous 2 yrs upon her moving out of the school district into an adjoining district that her senior year tuitiion would be waived. She is also a IEP student and the school system recieves extra state funding because of her learning disability. It wasn't until November of 2003 that the sent us a bill for her last year, and we had been going on what was previously conveyed to us. We had also been told that the state funding is base on their enrollment as of mid-September. There has been a couple of other past graduates from this school district that had knowingly lived outside the school district and had their tuitions waived. We feel discriminated against and would like this resolved. Do we have any chance of avoiding this expense ($3500)?

How was it conveyed to you that it was ok?
In writing? Do you know with whom you spoke?
