''lawsuit filed in wrong jurisdiction''

I have to answer a complaint against me in a credit card case the law firm that filed against me filed it in a city i do not live,do they have that right,or did they make a mistake

A lawsuit against you can only be filed in your city, or county, or in a city or county in which you did business.
