Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

Liability of Passenger in Other Vehicle

My daughter was a passenger in a moving vehicle, she threw a candycane at another moving vehicle to get their attention. When the driver of the other vehicle turned to see what had happened, he hit the vehicle in front of him.

The driver of the other vehicle is now threatening to sue. What is your advice to me?

Re: Liability of Passenger in Other Vehicle

Now is the time to put your insurance company on notice of this issue. Failure to notify your insurance company immediately could result in your being responsible for defending this matter, and if you are determined to be responsible, you could have to pay the judgment if you fail to notify your insurance company.
