Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio

Partnership

I was in a 4 year relationship with a man (not married) and we had a joint checking account together. We have split up and my question to you is: With both of us having a joint checking account is there any way I can be compensated for my monetary contributions to the relationship? I took a Home Equity loan out on a house that I personally own of which all of it was invested in his home and personal properties which of course are all in his name. He was recovering from a nasty divorce. I also

received approximately $3,000.00 a year in income tax returns all of which went to the property every year. He has been able to keep all of this and I am stuck with the payment for 13 yrs and have nothing to show. I know now how stupid I was. But I do believe if debt to debt ratio

is shown that i should be able to be compensated for my losses. Is this something I could legally pursue?

Thank You For Any Advise You have To Offer! (even if it ends up that you call me a sucker)

Re: Partnership

In the absence of a clear contract between you, or any notion of "palimony", there is still a theory of law called "unjust enrichment" that might help you recover. If the total is under $3,000, you can go to small claims court. Contact an attorney with all details to determine what option might be best for you.

Best of luck,
