Personal property

My boyfriend and I broke up over a month ago and his boat is sitting on my moms property. He put it there about 6 months ago without asking her but I told him it was alright. Since the day he put it there they have been asking for him to remove it. I have asked told him they wanted it gone several times before and after the break up. How long do they have to wait before they can sell it or just get rid of it legally.

Have a lawyer send him a letter telling him that you are charging him rent for "storage". Make sure the amount you are requesting if "reasonable", ie: Don't charge him 1000 a month. Then, just let it sit there and finally, when you feel like it, sue him for not paying the rent.
