Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio
Stolen Horse
I had a racehorse stolen from a racetrack licensed in Ohio. Security is suppose to check all horses coming and going which they neglected to do. Is this racetrack liable or is it just a lesson learned? Thanks!

Re: Stolen Horse
Dear Forlorn Horse Owner:
What documentation or contract do you have with the track? Any written evidence of required or promised security for your valuable horse from the track association or business entity?
Even without any security, your insurer must investigate and make you whole again. Your insurer may even take issue and sue the track in your behalf.
See an experienced Attorney to assist and guide you.
Good luck. Sincerely, J. Norman Stark, Cleveland, OHio
