Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Ohio
Last week I sold a Jumperoo (baby bounce seat) to a lady. A week lady she called me and text me and told me it's not working. Am I obligated by law to give her a refund? At no point did I ever say in my ad or in talking to here that I would give her a refund if it didn't work, also I know that it worked before she took it and since she didn't contact me until after a week it makes me think that maybe they broke it. She threatened to call the Police and get them involved, but honestly I'm just wondering if they can do anything. Thanks

This does not appear to be a criminal issue. I sincerely doubt that the police will do anything. She could possibly take you to small claims court to try to recover her money but that is it. At this point you are not obligated to give her a refund.
