Legal Question in Immigration Law in Ohio
Diversity Lottery, Out of Status, Rogue Attorney
I won the 2006 Diversity Lottery. I was out of status at the time and hired an attorney to handle the paperwork and represent me. He took my information and money, but didn't do what needed to be done. I was afraid to make a scene about it since I was out of status. Do I have any options or any rights at this point?

Unfortunately there is no carryover from one year to the next, and a person out of status for more than six months canot apply.
