Legal Question in Immigration Law in Ohio

Marriage

Hi, I am a Canadian Citizen planning on marrying an american citizen. I want to marry in Ohio. Can I do that without any problems? If so would I have to return to canada at any point after the marriage or could I just start petitioning to become a citizen of Ohio legally? I also want to know what forms have to be filed, how much does this cost, and how long does this process take?

Re: Marriage

Yes this is possible but you must be very aware of how to go about this. Feel free to call my office to discuss my fee.

Re: Marriage

You can legally obtain permanent residency in the U.S. without going back to Canada, but the process is full of legal traps for the unwary. The forms that must be filed are the I-130, I-485, G-325A, I-864, I-765, and I-131. The USCIS filing fee is $1,365. My attorney fee is $1,600.
