Legal Question in Immigration Law in Ohio

I have received my Green Card under Eb-1 Multi national managers category 6 months back.I would like to come out of the company and start my own firm;work independently as a consultant.Is that fine to start my own organization and work as contractor.Does USCIS will raise any concerns on this during naturalization?

They can raise questions when you go to naturalize. I've been practicing in Ohio for quite some time. Our local USCIS uses INA 318 to really parse through all aspects of a person's immigration history before granting natz. When a person leaves a petitioning company shortly after receiving the benefit, this is a red flag. It is similar to leaving a spouse shortly after getting a green card through marriage. It raises questions. That said, you can respond with answers that present your case in the light most favorable to your circumstances if you're properly prepared for that line of questioning.
