Legal Question in Immigration Law in Ohio
Thanks for the response. I was simply saying that i am an F-1 student. I applied for asylum and was denied; however, my F-1 status is still current. On the other hand, the person sponsoring my education has some financial issues and tells me he will soon seize paying my fees.
My questions are: is the USCIS going to send me a deportation letter because they refused me asylum? Can i reapply for asylum? Can i go back home, assuming my F-1 status is still current, to see my sick sponsor?

Thank you for clarifying. 'Sponsor' means something else in immigration law. You might then want to consider applying for Advance Parole. It is not a re-entry permit: it is only issued to aliens without permanent residency. Advance Parole is permission for certain aliens, who do not have a valid immigrant visa, to re-enter the United States after traveling abroad. Such aliens include those who have applied to adjust status to that of permanent resident or to change nonimmigrant status. Advance Parole must be approved before the applicant leaves the United States, or any residency application will in general be denied. Travel outside of the United States may have severe consequences for aliens who have been unlawfully present even if they have obtained Advance Parole. Please note that this is not legal advice. This sends you in a certain direction. Any attorney would have to know your entire situation before advising you particularly since you were denied asylum.
