Legal Question in Immigration Law in Ohio

my son is waitin on his renewal green card they said it takes up to 8 months in the meant ime hes in jail on non child support cause he cant work.....he gets out in 2 weeks and I know child support will come after him again cause he has to wait on his green card.....is there anyway to rush this green card ordeal without him having to go back to jail
