Legal Question in Insurance Law in Ohio
Doubled insured
I got insurance on my vehicle when I first purchased it 11/8/06 and on 11/21/06 I got another policy to replace the original since it was cheaper and inculded an additional car, driver, and home. As I stated above I purchased the new policy because it was cheaper and I didn't want to run the risk of being unisured when they canceled my policy when I didn't pay the next premium due. My first vehicle was hit on 11/26/06 while parked in a parking lot. I called the first company to file a claim and they are trying to deny it because I temporarily have double coverage on the new vehicle. Is this legal in the state of Ohio for them to deny a claim for that reasoning? What should I do next?
