Legal Question in Insurance Law in Ohio
Employer insurance
Is there a law where the owner of a trucking company has to carry insurance on his employee that drive his trucks over the entire united states? Or can he order them to go all over the usa on behalf of his trucking company and have no coverage on his drivers? Is there a law of limitations on
filing wrongful death claims?
Thank you for your time

Re: Employer insurance
There are state and federal requirements for insurance. The law regarding the limitations for wrongful death is dependent on the state of the death. In West Virginia the limitations is 2 years from the date of death. Any death claim which may involve workers compensation and or tort wrongful death liability should be evaluated by a lawyer. If the matter cannot be settled then the lawyer should be retained by the personal representative.
