Legal Question in Insurance Law in Ohio
Hit and Run - Stolen Vehicle
A stolen pick-up truck crashed into my driveway, damaging two vehicles. Driver then drove away in the truck. It was found the next morning in the small town I live in. The driver has not been identified. The owner of the truck goes through the same insurance I do. He has full coverage, I have liability only. Who's insurance policy, if either, should cover? And what if I never find out who stole his truck, does anyone pay for damages done to my vehicles?

Re: Hit and Run - Stolen Vehicle
How do you know that the driver who hit your cars was not really the owner who was drunk and left the scene to avoid a DUI? Can the owner prove he, or someone he knows, was NOT driving?
Make the claim against his insurance.
