Legal Question in Insurance Law in Ohio
Storm Damage Repairs Dispute with Insurance Co.
Our home was damaged in a hail storm. We are fighting the insurance company about replacing the whole house vinyl siding not just the west side of the house. Insurance Co. refuses to replace whole house saying it's a close enough match. I say it's not close enough and the whole house should be re-sided. House was a monotone color siding before the storm and now it is a two-tone color after replacement of the west side only. House not restored to a pre-storm monotone color condition. Three sides of the house can be seen from the public road in front the house.
Insurance company says it has been restored to an exceptable state and we say it has not. Is the insurance company obligated to replace all the siding not just the west side?
