If I buy a NFL Team Logo from a company and then apply that logo to a table and sell it do I have to pay a royalty also?

You run the risk of being sued for trademark infringement if you do this. A trademark holder is given rights to control how its mark is used and to prevent others from using it. This is to ensure that consumers know that if a trademark is on a certain product, then that product is made by that trademark holder. In your case, people are going to think the NFL made that table or have some association with it. So don't do it.
