Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Ohio
Possible Copyright Infringement Question
My partner and I want to create a small web-only business that is likened to a Stock Photography website, which is basically a place where you pay a fee monthly and download as many pictures as you want. The problem however, is that what we want to do is provide Computer Animators (mostly just students and teachers) orthographic views (straight, head-on views) of miscallaneous objects for the sole purpose of making a Computer Graphic model in 3D space. Would it be an infringement upon a copyright to have say, a Motoralla flip phone or a DeWalt drill as one of the objects? Would I need there express permission to use that object?
