I had an idea for a patent to expand my company and found out that it is already manufactured, can i still apply for a patent and get my idea into production still or do i need to do something else?

As a Franchise Attorney I can say this about your proposed patent idea. If it's already manufactured, it is not "new," and would therefore not be eligible for patent protection. Patents laws require ideas to be "new" and "useful." Of course, your idea may have a unique spin. So consult with a good patent or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
