Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Ohio
Scenario: A 17 year old girl lives with her grandma (her now legal guardian) because her parents are deceased, both of them. Her home life is bad, not abusive just VERY sheltered (can't spend the night with friends, go for a walk, on a date, etc). She turns 18 in less than two months, but the closer it gets to her birthday, the harder her grandma is on her. The girl's grandmother questions everything she does and she cannot be alone except to go to the bathroom. If she were to run away now before she was 18, can the police forcefully bring her back to grandmother's house or would they just let her go due to how close her birthday is?

Yes they can arrest you ... and bring you right back, or worse, hold you in detention and place you in a secured group home...Hold out until you turn 18. It will be worth it !!
If you're not actually being abused physically, no one is going to care that she is rough on you...just deal with it, for now ...
