Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio
altering a timecard
I work as a nurse's aid. My boss heard rumors that my co-worker and I were watching tv in a residents room. Not only does my supervisor have proof, but during that time I answered a call light of another resident (there is document showing when a resident calls and when the call is answered) On the back of my co-worker and I timecard she wrote dedute 45 minutes. My supervisor made no attempt to contact me on the whole situation but she did talk to my co-worker and did not mention anything about deducting time from our timecards. Is that legal for her to alter our timecards?

The altering of time cards is prohibited unless the employer directs same.
