Is my boss required to Pay me overtime on a 12 or 24 hour shift?

There is no requirement that you paid overtime for total hours worked in a day. Whether you are entitled to overtime is always based on a workweek in Ohio. You are entitled to overtime for all hours worked over 40 in a single workweek. So if the 12 or 24 puts you over 40 for the workweek, then you are entitled to overtime.
