Is cable tv considered broadcast in defining not working for a broadcast facility as a condition of a non compete

I believe that the answer is "no." First, it depends on the state that you are in. Only a few states prohibit non-competes with broadcast industry employees. Second, I am pretty sure that the exemption is tied to broadcast TV and radio, but you have to look at the specific statute, which again depends on the state that you are in.
