Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio

Collecting Wages Owed by Employer

My previous employer transfered me to another state and paid for various relocation fees. One month afer the transfer I terminated my employment for another job. I earned $5,100 in bonuses for the 2001 4th quarter. My employer is witholding this money because of the relocation expenses they paid for during my move. There was no agreement between me and my employer that stated I had to repay any of the relocation expenses. In addition, I did permantley live in the new location for about one month at my own expense. What can I do?

Re: Collecting Wages Owed by Employer

If you are owed the money and there is no written agreement between you and your employer regarding the reimbursement of moving expenses, you would have right to collect your pay. Rather than start with litigagion right away, you might try to contact the Kentucky Labor Cabinet to resolve the issue.
