Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio

former employee

I work in the health care field. The company i use to work for is currently in a law suit with my current employer. When I was offered a position with my current employer and I gave my former employer a two week notice. The questioned me on where I was going to work and then informed me that I could not finishmy two weeks. All our pay checks are direct deposit, they did not inform me that my last paycheck I would need to pick up at the office. When I called to see about the paycheck that is when I was notified that i needed to pick up the check. When I arrived to pick up my last check. I was questioned on where my current employment was, falsly accused of leaking patient information, without any evidence. then was threated that if I was in fact working for a former employee they would persue legally to have me fired from my current employer.

Re: former employee

Did you sign a covenant not to compete? If you did not intentional interference with employment is actionable.
