Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio
My employer of 7 years is trying to make me sign a do not compete clause. I work in Ohio and the clause states that I cannot get a job in the same industry within 500 miles of our office & for a period of 18 months. Should I sign this? Would I be able to get unemployment if they fire me for not signing it??

Most non compete contracts do not hold water. Instead of not signing it, use it to your advantage to leverage some better conditions and more importantly, to become a contract employee.
