Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio

Equal Opportunity

Does a company in Ohio have to interview at least 3 candidates for each open position? There is typically no interview process and people are just put into a position. This is does not seem very objective or fair. Also, what can I do if I feel I was pushed out of a position for a ''promotion'', offered a salary increase and relocation, and then have it taken away only months later? I feel and have compelling evidence the company knew the position I was promoted to would be eliminated and placed me in that position without disclosing the possible elimination of the position. Now I am on the verge of losing employment whereas, if I would have stayed in my original position, I would be gainfully employed. I was also a top performer in the company in my previous position but was not part of the ''good 'ol boy network.'' What are my options?
