Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio

forced to take leave of absence

My wife discussed with my employer that a duty I had to perform twice a week(mopping clients home) was causing me back pain due to my pregnancy. She suggested I get restriction from doctor and they would accomodate me by rearranging the cleaning duties for the employees. Two weeks after I handed her the restriction(April 26th), they forced me to take unpaid leave stating that they could not accomodate my restriction and did not want me to get hurt on the job. The other employees were completely comfortable with handling the duty of mopping the floor. The company hired someone to fill my position and told me to call them after the baby was due. Are they required to accomodate my restriction? Can they force me to take that leave? Yesterday I received a certified letter stating that the leave was for six weeks and if I cannot return to work then I would have to reapply for the job which is not the conditions we discussed on April 26th. What are my rights?

If there is a history of light duty for others pursue a remedy.
