I am sorry for your illness. The quick answer to your question is "probably not" -- possibly for two reasons. 1) you quit your job, and (possibly) 2) you are not able to work. HOWEVER, unemployment compensation is not a very exact science. I would apply anyway. It is possible that you will be approved.

Looking on the bright side, you should not have any problem finding a new job in your field!
