seniority rights broken
Recently i have read many articles at ford's news site(blueovalnews.com) and i see parallel activities realated to these ''articles '' where i work in Cleveland 's ford manufacturing site...they seem to de-moralize senitority workers by placing them on jobs they had many years ago in the hopes they might get tired and retire early due to this demoralizing effect and promoting low seniority females...blacks and hispanics to better paying and less work-load jobs...they also ''block'' promotions through plant reductions and all new contract rules that don't exsist in order to ''move '' these so called minorites into better positions without experience or the proper seniority to hold these jobs......they also practice ''underhanded '' job posting procedures to attain the same results....is this legal? I am a victim of these practices and I want answers and solutions to fight this matter ...I get NO voice in any area.andI haven't in years!..management or union. thanks

What you describe sounds like discrimination that is illegal under Title VII of federal law and under some state laws. However, if you have some sort of union agreement or bargaining agreement, the situation has to be examined in light of those agreements as well. Without more information, it is difficult to address your specific situation. I recommend that you contact an attorney in your area who practices in employment discrimination.
