Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio

Student Requesting Information on Service Agreements

I am a student at ITT Technical Institute and am ready to graduate. My classmates and I are working on a final project to where we are a mock company providing service and parts for a freight elevator. My question is to where I can find a Service Agreement suitable for such practice and/or labor laws for such company. The company we are providing the Service Agreement for is Gunter Warehouse, which is also a mock company. I would appreciate any information or advice. Thank you all for your time to read this and for any information and advice.

Re: Student Requesting Information on Service Agreements

You may be able to find contacts/agreements on this site. If not, an internet search might produce something. As to Ohios labor laws, they are contained Ohio Revised Code Chapter 41. You can access the Revised Code through the Ohio General Assemblys website, which will link you to: http://onlinedocs.andersonpublishing.com/oh/lpExt.dll?f=templates&fn=main-h.htm&cp=PORC

Federal labor laws are an entirely different creature. They are contained in various statutes and regulationsprobably well over 100 statutes alone (e.g., the Fair Labor Standards Act; Equal Pay Act; OSHA; Civil Rights Act; American with Disabilities Act; Age Discrimination in Employment Act; Family and Medical Leave Act; ERISA; Davis-Bacon Act etc). If you plan to address federal law, a good starting point is the U.S. Department of Labor: http://www.dol.gov.
