My employer has less than 50 employees. Am I not covered under the FMLA guidlines?

Re: Unpaid Medical Leave
Possibly, possibly not. You need to look at the number of employees that the employer had for any 20 work weeks during this calendar year or the preceeding calendar year. For the FMLA to apply, the employer must have had at least 50 employees for at least 20 work weeks in this calendar year (2007) OR for 20 work weeks in 2006. The work weeks do not need be consecutive.
