Legal Question in Employment Law in Ohio
Hi. I have been working as a research assistant at my current job for 2 and a half years. I was told on Tuesday that my hours were being dropped to part time for an undetermined amount of time. I was told that this was only due to our current money situation, and was no fault of my own. I can't afford to live with this new income, especially now that I have to pay more for benefits. Do I have any options?
Thanks so much!
Melanie

Unfortunately, your only option is to get a new or a second job to meet your bills. Your employer is not compelled to keep you to full-time and can actually terminate you with no reason whatsoever.
