Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Ohio
A new bar opened up next to my apartment and is incredibly loud. I'm unable to sleep before 2 am Wednesday through Saturday. My landlord refuses to let me move to the opposite side of our very large apartment tower. How do I get out of here? I'd love to just switch to a quiet side of the building, but at this point I'm ready to just move so that I can sleep! The police have been contacted but won't do anything about the noisy bar.

In Ohio, if the landlord had nothing to do with the bar being there (that is, if the landlord did not own the land that the bar is on and rent out to it) then it will not be viewed as the landlord's fault that the bar is causing a problem.
However, if you are having a problem with the bar, the law does provide a remedy, which would be to bring a nuisance suit against the bar.
