Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Ohio
My ex boyfriend won't leave my house. He claims since he had a letter come that he legally lives there. My mother passed and did not have a will so my place has never went through probate yet.

I would suggest you meet with a lawyer. You may have to go through an eviction process with your boyfriend. At the same time, I would suggest you process the house through probate to show that you have ownership, as that will be an issue during the eviction. A will is not required for the probate process. I would inform your boyfriend that by naming him as a defendant in an eviction, that fact will be a matter of record and will likely make it more difficult to lease a place.
