Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Ohio

My boyfriend had previously moved out of my apartment, (he was not on the lease). When he moved out the police were called and he removed his things while they were there and handed me his key. He has since asked for things he didnt take once he left and it has now been over a month. I filed a police report because of his harrassing texts and phone calls. He is still sending me messages threating me with police action, and a warrant to come back to my house to get things he says he left, some of which he didn't even leave. Can he do this and what options do I have?

In Ohio, if he wants anything more out of you he is going to have to take you to court and prove that you have items that are still his. That sounds like a pretty tall order.

If he keeps on with the texts and phone messages, you should record them and show them tot he police. That will generally put a stop to things.
