cosigner for an apartment lease
my son got an apartment with another guy for college and i cosigned for the lease unaware that i was responsible. my son signed a release form upon leaving and left the roomate with the apartment. the roommate later left breaking the lease and not contacting me. am i responsible even if my son signed a release form? my name is on the lease as the cosigner.
