Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Ohio
Is there a legal document that the renter can produce if they are behind rent. Almost like a promissory note.

There is nothing I can think of other than an IOU. You could work out a contract with the landlord to pay back the past due rent but the landlord would have to agree to this.
Feel free to contact me, free of charge, at [email protected] or 330-447-7634. I am happy to help in any way that I can.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
