Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Ohio
I manage a large two bldg., 48 unit apt complex in alliance ohio. I vacuum all three floors , both sides of one building when I feel it is needed. We have one tenant who insists on finding anything on carpet on the north side of this bldg. where he lives ,, sweeps it up and dumps it on the main entrance floor mat, as some kind of hint. When I question him about it or ask him to stop it, he tells me to "do my job".. and gets nasty about it... been going on for over a year now. Is this harassment?

if the tenant has been there for more than a year, he is likely on a month to month tenancy. a month to month tenant can be terminated at any time and for any reason so long as 30 days notice is given from the beginning of the next rental period. if you don't want to get rid of him, then you may just have to put up with his peculiarities.
