Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Ohio
In an Ohio small claims court landlord/tenant case can I submit additional bills during the hearing? I am taking a former tenant to Ohio small claims court (limit $3000) for unpaid rent, major cleanup bill and misc. property damages. I am asking for $2900 even though I have valid bills/claims totaling $3700. Say the judge disallows a cleanup bill for $500 reducing the maximum award possible to $2400. Can I then submit additional property damage bills not previously submitted since they previously would have exceeded the $3000 limit or is this not allowed?
thx

In Ohio, you can put on evidence that you are owed $40,000,000 but the court can only award you the first three thousand if you are in small claims court.
