Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Ohio

Before i signed lease..we had talked to homeowne about rent to on property.Homeowners told us that they would do a rent to own contract after a few months and ended up signing a month to month contract until we wanted to eventually sign a rent to own lease.We were told that the rent to own would not be a problem.Now the homeowners want to putcthe home on the market..is there a way to fight this.

In Ohio, contracts involving the title to real estate (or an option to purchase) have to be in writing. As such, if you did not put you agreement in writing, then the landlord will not be prevented from listing and selling the property.
